The satyric way of their presentation enhance the unusual phobia’s features.
They show someone’s suffering caused by strange, sometimes ridiculous reasons.
This style utilising grotesque illustrationsis a result of research inspired by Picasso’s Guernica and African art which are very powerful with the expression.

This series is composed with two opposite font types. The main word “phobia” is awkwardly handwritten to stress human weakness. While the names of each phobia are written with a solid font to indicate their scientific definition.
